Felix who was 2nd in the 200m at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics finally earned the gold medal. Felix ran a good curve was able to pull away from the field to finish ahead of Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (22.09) and teammate Carmelita Jeter (22.14) with Campbell-Brown (22.38) in 4th. Bolt, Blake and Weir in 200m Final Showdown

Bolt jogged the last 80m of the race while looking around. Blake built a huge lead coming into the home stretch and cruised to victory in 20.01 seconds ahead of American Spearmon (20.02) and Frenchman Christophe Lemaitre (20.03). Fraser-Pryce denied the sprint double by Felix

Felix won the women’s 200m in a time of 21.88 seconds ahead of Fraser-Pryce (22.09) and Carmelita Jeter (22.14). Fraser-Pryce time of 22.09 is a lifetime best surpassing the 22.10 seconds she ran at the Jamaican Trials.
