The third staging of the Corporate Area Championship took place at Richard Ashenheim Stadium on the Jamaica College campus on February 20-21. Kingston College (“Famed Purples”) retained the trophy on the boys’ side, to record their third consecutive hold. Immaculate Conception High took top honours for the girls, having wrestled the trophy from defending campion Excelsior High. The Famed Purples scored a record 519 points, finishing ahead of host, Jamaica College on 475 points, Calabar on 283 points, Wolmer’s Boys on 157.5 points, and Excelsior rounded out the top five on 149 points.
First-time winner Immaculate Conception High won comfortably on the girls’ side, scoring a massive 408 points, to dethrone Excelsior High that finished second on 288 points, Convent of Mercy third on 286 points, Wolmer’s Girls fourth 220.5 points, and the Queen’s School rounded out the top five on 136 points.

Class 1 Boys’ 110m Hurdles Final Placings
Taj-Oneil Gordon of Kingston College posted a personal best of 13.56 to win the class 1 boys 110m hurdles final, while Shakir Lewis of Jamaica College was second in a season’s best of 13.89 and his team-mate Christian Wallace was third in 14.22. The field was Michael Dwyer of Kingston College in 14.29, Jabari Williams of Calabar High in a personal best of 15.18, Jordon Hudson of Wolmer’s Boys in a personal best of 15.95 and Kevaun Grant of Excelsior in 16.59. Shevaughn Pryce of Calabar High did not finish.
Class 2 Boys’ 110m Hurdles Final Placings
Gregory Williams of Jamaica College secured top honours in the boys’ 110m hurdles, posting 14.12, while Marl-Daniel Allen of Wolmer’s Boys was second in 14.17 and Daquan Dawkins of Kingston College was third in a personal best of 14.33. The field was rounded out by Zahir Naraysingh of Campion College in a personal best of 14.55, Taishawn Reynolds of St. George’s College in a personal best of 14.61, Brandon Bennett of Kingston College in 14.63 and Jordan McBean in 14.88.
Class 3 Boys’ 100m Hurdles Final Placings
Jamaica College secured the quinella through Adrian Phillips in a personal best of 13.87 and Denton Barrington Richards in a personal best of 14.10, while Drequan Jones of Kingston College was third in 14.14. The field was rounded out by Alex Lewis of Calabar High in a personal best of 14.19, Kyle Frankson of St. George’s College in a personal best of 14.30, Zachary Ajani Hunter of Kingston College in 14.57, Kaden Levermore of Wolmer’s Boys in a personal best of 14.77 and Kijhani Brown of Campion College in a personal best of 15.05.
Class 1 Girls’ 100m Hurdles Final Placings
Tiana Marshall of Wolmer’s Girls won the class 1 girls’ 100m hurdles in a meet record and season’s best of 13.38, while Amoi Kentish of Excelsior was second in a season’s best of 14.37 and Joi-Anne Russell of Immaculate Conception High was third in 14.47. The field was rounded out by Janielle Lowe of Wolmer’s Girls in a season’s best of 15.04, Xavi Harvey of Excelsior High in a personal best of 17.81 and Gillian Gordon of Convent of Mercy Alpha in 25.62.
Class 2 Girls’ 100m Hurdles Final Placings
Akeelah Bell of Wolmer’s Girls won the class 2 girls’ 100m hurdles in a personal best of 13.26, while Rajana Price of Convent of Mercy Alpha was second in a personal best of 13.51 and Kyra Loye Kelly of Immaculate Conception was third in a personal best of 13.64. The field was rounded out by Jadea Harris of Wolmer’s Girls in 14.36 and Ayanna Blake of Immaculate Conception High in 15.32. Cara Chanelle Harris of the Queen’s School did not finish, while Maceala Gordon of Convent of Mercy Alpha was disqualified.
Class 1 Boys’ 1500m Final Placings
Nahashon Ruto of Kenya and Kingston College posted a personal best of 4:03.40 to win the class 1 boys’ 1500m final, while Rasheed Pryce of Jamaica College was second in a personal best of 4:08.10 and Amani Brightley of Campion College was third in a personal best of 4:11.61. Omarian Miller of Kingston College won the quinella in the class 1 boys’ long jump, through Omarian Miller who cut the sands in 7.30m (-0.1) and Amani Phillips who did so in 6.95m (+0.30. Shevaughn Pryce of Calabar High was third in 6.95m (-1.0). The top ten was rounded out by Roshane Francis of Wolmer’s Boys in a personal best of 6.82m (-0.7), Michael Graham of Excelsior High in a season’s best of 6.82m (+0.2), Domanicc Clarke of Jamaica College in a personal best of 6.49 (-0.5), Damani Douglas of Campion College in a personal best of 6.24m (-0.2), Kishane Chin of Calabar High in 6.23 (-0.2), Marley Robinson of Wolmer’s Boys in a season’s best of 6.10m (-1.30 and Kajeem Warren of Jamaica College in a personal best of 5.81m (+0.3).

Class 2 Boys’ 100m Final
Tyler Morgan of Jamaica College won the class 2 boys’ 100m final in a personal best of 10.83, while his teammate Olando Anglin was second in a personal best of 10.88 and Mario Ross of Wolmer’s Boys was third in a season’s best of 10.91. The field was rounded out by Andre Genus of Kingston College in 10.93, Rushaun Dunn of Kingston College in 11.16, Tyrique Brady of Excelsior High in 11.17 and Joshuah Lewin of Kingston in a personal best of 11.29. Javane Clayton of Calabar High was disqualified.
Class 3 Boys’ 100m Final
The Wolmer’s pair of Ajani Lumley and Joshua Ruel Kadar McWilliams won the quinella in the class 3 boys’ 100m final, posting 10.84MR and 10.91PB, respectively, while Kemanic Edwards of Kingston College was third in a personal best of 10.92. The field was rounded out by Alex Lewis of Calabar High in a personal best of 1112, Jaron Brooks of Campion College in a personal best of 11.38, Kaheem Burnett of St. George’s College in a personal best of 11.58 and Adriana Phillips of Jamaica College in 11.78. Kashmar Gunter of Jamaica College did not finish.

Natrece East of Wolmer’s Girls won the class 2 girls’ 100m final in a season’s best and meet record of 11.58, while Kayla Johnson of Immaculate Conception High was second in 12.12 and Kedoya Lindo of Excelsior High was third in 12.17. The field was rounded out by Kyra Loye Kelly of Immaculate Conception High in 12.28, Jahmilia Humes of Meadowbrook high in 12.40, Maceala Gordon of Convent of Mercy Alpha in 12.41, Keelan Smith of Holy Childhood High in a season’s best of 12.44 and Rebecca Nugent of Penwood High in 12.63.
Class 1 Boys’ Triple Jump Final
Michael-Andre Matthew Edwards of Jamaica College won the class 1 triple jump final, cutting the sands in 15.68m (+0.3), while the Kingston College pair of Rekelme Hunter and Amani Phillips was second and third, respectively, in 15.49m (+0.2) and 15.21m (+0.8). The field was rounded out by J’Avar Edahj Sean Xaval Cato of Jamaica College in 14.71m (0.8), Antonio Anderson of Calabar High in 14.60m (+0.6) and Kishane Chin of Calabar High in 13.35 (-0.5).
Class 1 Boys’ 400m Hurdles Final
Kishawn Hoffman of Excelsior High won the class 1 boys’ 400m hurdles in a personal best of 50.56, while Rojay Black of Jamaica College was second in a personal best of 50.84 and Fransico Williams was third in a personal best of 50.90. The field was rounded out by Jahvaine K. Tyrell of Kingston College in 52.00, Rahiem McIntosh of Kingston College in a personal best of 52.43 and Tyler Ferguson of Jamaica College in a personal best of 53.95, Demarco Bennett of Excelsior High and Durville Jackson of Calabar High did not finish.
Class 2 Boys’ 400m Hurdles Final
Jaeden Campbell of Excelsior High won the class 2 boys’ 400m hurdles final in a personal best and meet record of 50.91, while Oneil Lawrence of Jamaica College in a personal best of 51.80 and Jahdane Campbell, also of Jamaica College, was third in a personal best of 53.32. The field was rounded out by Brandon Bennett of Kingston College in a personal best of 53.79, Tadjique Amouri Mark Dixon of St. George’s College in a personal best of 54.89, Zahir Naraysingh of Campion College in a personal best of 56.96, Malique Kerron Cunningham of St. George’s College in 56.20 and Justin McKoy of Calabar High School in 57.20.

Sha-Jay Davis of Convent of Mercy Alpha won the class 1 girls’ 400mH in 1:02.71, while her teammate Imani Lowe was second in 1:02.73 and Latoya Shanice Williams of the Queen’s School was third in 1:04.80.
